Halloween Tennis and Pickleball Costume Ideas

With Halloween just around the corner, we couldn't resist the urge to share some of our favorite tennis- and pickleball-inspired costume ideas. Whether you are headed to an on-court mixer, or a festive gathering with friends and family, these five costumes will let your love for tennis and pickleball shine through this Halloween.

The Grip Mummy

The classic mummy costume gets a racquets twist! Start with a premade mummy costume and wrap strands of tennis grip over the top of it for a fun ‘spin’ on this traditional dress-up choice! Even better, collect used overgrips to lend a distressed, centuries-old effect to your look.

Mario Tennis - Nintendo 64

We’re putting a tennis spin on a childhood video game classic! Many of you may remember playing Super Mario, but did you ever dive into the fun of Mario Tennis on the Nintendo 64? This Halloween, grab your racquets and suit up as your favorite Super Mario characters – from Mario and Princess Peach to Luigi, Toad and more! Get ready for a nostalgic serve of fun!

Wimbledon Whites

Take inspiration from one of tennis’s most iconic events for your Halloween costume this year! Whether you love the vintage charm of past tournaments or prefer a more modern twist, you can’t go wrong with the timeless classic of Wimbledon Whites. It’s a winning choice for a stylish and sporty Halloween look!

The Country Clubber

Hothead on the court? Turn it into a Halloween costume! Grab some fake blood, an old t-shirt or racquets outfit, plus a smashed accessory or two to evoke an on-court tantrum gone wrong. Take the look one step further by using the fake blood to scribble a common tennis or pickleball gripe, such as "I hate bad line calls" or "Stay out of the kitchen." This is a fun one to get creative with!

Target Practice

If you need a costume for two, try dressing up in your favorite tennis or pickleball garb while your partner sports a target or cone costume! Optional: attach a few tennis balls or pickleballs to your partner’s outfit to drive home the theme. Don’t forget to bring your racquet or paddle as a finishing touch!
