Southern California
We have a multitude of California locales but come wintertime, we find ourselves drawn to our Palm Springs and Santa Barbara properties. In the desert, choose from Omni Rancho Las Palmas or JW Marriott Desert Springs. Though close in proximity, each resort offers a slightly different experience. JW Marriott Desert Springs, managed by PBI Tennis, offers 90-minute daily clinics with a different teaching focus each day. Omni Rancho Las Palmas, managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, offers daily 2-hour group clinics with fast-paced drills and point play. Both properties include pickleball courts and clinics, and offer a robust menu of on-property amenities to enjoy during your stay.
Farther north lies The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in sunny Santa Barbara. The seaside resort features four clay tennis courts right by the ocean – close enough that you can hear the water between strokes! The luxurious property offers an abundance of dining outlets and nature-inspired activities. Looking to explore off-property? Lively downtown Santa Barbara is less than 30 minutes down the road.
Florida
Like California, our portfolio includes a range of tennis, pickleball and padel destinations in Florida. However, we’ve narrowed down our winter recommendations to two standout locations. If you’re craving a remote island getaway this time of year, Hawks Cay in Duck Key is a must-add to your list. The refined yet casual Keys resort offers the perfect sunny escape with panoramic ocean views. In addition to tennis and pickleball, guests can take part in a variety of water sports and fishing activities. Though it is roughly 90 miles south of the Miami airport, the end destination is well worth the journey!
If you are craving a luxurious getaway that is still plenty close to the city life, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami is our second Florida travel recommendation this season. The stunning resort features upscale amenities and dining venues, as well as three state-of-the-art padel courts. Looking for more to do? A short trek across the bridge will land you in Downtown Miami if you are looking to add even more activities to your vacation.
The Caribbean
We have two striking resorts in the Caribbean, both of which boast panoramic tropical views and perfect weather in the wintertime. If you are looking for maximum luxury, Four Seasons Nevis in the West Indies combines first-class amenities with exceptional natural wonders. The property sets a new standard with superb Four Seasons cuisine, Championship golf on a Robert Trent Jones II course, an endless choice of watersports and of course, tennis and pickleball play for all levels.
Traveling with kids, or looking for a more convenient destination? Baha Mar in The Bahamas has everything you need in one spectacular property. Choose from three hotels – Grand Hyatt, SLS or Rosewood – then enjoy all this destination has to offer. From over 40 dining outlets to a luxury waterpark, Baha Mar promises a one-of-a-kind vacation. Plus, the racquet club includes pickleball, as well as clay and hard court options for tennis players.
